• Introductory Program - This program is designed to introduce you to Fred Astaire Dance Studios and for you to learn a little more about how we teach here in the valley and what dances you might be interested in learning.
  
  
• Beginner Program - A great way for you or you and a partner to learn some of the basic elements of dance, the different tempos of music, and to get an understanding of what you would like your dancing to do for you. This is our first stepping stone in teaching students to becoming a confident and comfortable social dancer.
  
  
• Social Foundation - After you have an understanding of the basics and elements of your Beginner Program, you will have a chance to design a program with your instructor to fit your lifestyle, your dance desire, and to help achieve some of the wonderful benefits dance has to offer. This program is designed to solidify the basic elements of your social dances while enabling you to "Hold Your Own" in any given social dance situation.

When completed you will have an understanding of footwork; an introduction to the various dance tempos, whether fast or slow, and the fundamentals of a good lead as a man or following factors as a lady. This program also provides and excellent stepping stone to our next level of instruction - the Bronze Trophy System.

The Fred Astaire Trophy System

In addition to experiencing the joy and benefits of social dancing, there are those students who continue on to the more advanced techniques and competition style of dance through the famed Fred Astaire Trophy System.

The steps up this ladder of success, described below, allow you to accomplish your dancing goals. Any and all of our beginner programs are stepping stones to our acclaimed Trophy System.

The Trophy System is a unique method of dance instruction. Encompassing many short-cuts, this system is an exciting way for you to gauge your progress in receiving the benefit expected from the investment you have made in your dancing.

• BRONZE TROPHY PROGRAM:
  The Bronze Trophy is designed for the person who wishes to become a Good Social Dancer. It is the most popular standard for our students, and the first Trophy Program available to new students. A Bronze dancer is considered fun to dance with in all the popular Social Dances and they have complete confidence in the figure taught. Bronze dancers have the necessary styling to create a pleasant appearance on the dance floor and can cope with almost any dance occasion.

• SILVER TROPHY PROGRAM:
  The Silver Program is for the person who wishes to become an Advanced Social Dancer. Silver dancers are distinguished by versatility and style in all the popular social dances. This is a beautiful and practical standard of dancing for those who wish to be sought after on the dance floor.

• GOLD TROPHY PROGRAM:
  The Gold Program is for the person who wishes to become an Excellent Ballroom Dancer. Gold dancers have the confidence which comes with a complete and thorough knowledge of all the major ballroom dances. Advanced style and poise in all the ballroom dances sets the Gold dancer apart from all others.
